A specific form of social conversational sabotage committed by a person lacking the ability to detect nuance, irony, or shared context. A Levinata occurs when someone unnecessarily explains a joke that has just been told, pedantically corrects an obviously sarcastic statement, or earnestly engages with a topic that is clearly nonsense.
It is the distinct act of sucking the air out of the room by treating humor as a factual inaccuracy that requires immediate rectification.
Key characteristics include:

* The "Captain Obvious" Declaration: Pointing out something that is visibly apparent to every other person in the room (e.g., "It is currently raining" while standing in a storm).

* The Joke Autopsy: dissecting the mechanics of a punchline immediately after it lands, thereby killing the laughter.

* Irony Deafness: responding to a hyperbolic statement with a "Well, actually..." correction.
> Example 1
> John: "Man, I've been waiting here so long I think I've aged three decades."
> Levin: "That is factually impossible. You have only been standing here for 15 minutes. Human aging does not accelerate based on perceived wait times."
> John: "Dude, stop pulling a Levinata, you're ruining the vibe."

> Example 2
> Sarah: (Jokingly) "Yeah, I'm totally going to quit my job and become a professional penguin brusher in Antarctica."
> Levin: "I don't think that is a viable career path. The visa requirements for Antarctica are complex, and penguins do not require brushing."
> Sarah: "Oh my god, that was such a Levinata."

Utility beer

Utility beer is the beer you keep around for the day-to-day moments when beer is a necessity to assist in pedestrian activities (golf, plumbing, yardwork, babysitting, staff meetings, Zoom calls). For the beer snob it is the beer you save for neighbors when they drop in at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday. It is differentiated from the actual high-end beer you save for special events, holidays, and special tastings.
Person 1: Dave, did you bring along those hazy craft IPA's so we could drink while cleaning Lyle's pool?
Person 2: Nope. I just have a bunch of utility beer that Steve dumped on me. Good enough for this. It is only 10:30 a.m.
