To return attention to ones self by thinking up a problem/illness/whatever else to essentially one up your friend who may have just explained a problem they are having. It's extremely piss irritating attention seeking behaviour. You then text another friend to let them know that person is pulling a jexi (include lots of eye rolling emojis)

Friend 1: 'Dude I have a splinter'
Friend 2:'Yeah but I have a cut and I'm pretty sure my arm is gonna fall off'

Friend 1 text to a different friend: 'Mate she totally pulled a jexi and there's nothing wrong with her'
