Inertia or fear of taking any action to change the status quo because there's too much at risk, and not enough discomfort to execute an action.

A lot of people didn't vote because the jenga effect became too overwhelming to deal with.

When someone follows an idea or acts a certain way and lets it define their life for a long period of time, then randomly flips a 180 and denounces it entirely.

Luke: Jenna was a furry for like 5 years now she completely hates furries.

Nathan: Yeah bro, Jenna Effect.
