Heart Beat Bill
A bill passed under Governor Greg Abbott that made it so that under Texas state law aborting a pregnancy with a detectable heart beat would be illegal without medical or sexual abuse related exceptions. This means that legal abortion in the state of Texas is restricted to the very first six weeks of pregnancy and such policies have become more extreme since the overturning of Roe V. Wade.
Example: She will have to leave the state, the Heart Beat Bill will not let her end a sceptic pregnancy.
