Gum Check

A technique often employed by a girlfriend, wife or, mother when the use of nicotine pouches or other smokeless tobacco methods are suspected. Gum checks are prohibited under the 4th amendment and cannot be used as evidence against you in a court of law.

Nick: Carsen’s chick tried to gum check him at the bar but he plead the 4th.
Zach: Thank god, last time I got gum checked, my wife for divorced me and took the house.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.

Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
