This is derived from 2 words. The first- grim: depressing or worrying to consider. The second- eare: Archaic spelling of ear. When put together grimeare means the listening to or hearing sad stories.

Everyday there was another grimeare being told. Grimeare was wandering the world looking for new people to listen to.
