This word is essentially a really fancy sounding alternative to the phrase “clout chaser”: It’s someone who is always attempting to score clout, which ends up, ironically, damaging their appearance to the rest of society.
It appears as if that man over there is a gravitasociophile. He seems to be wearing every possible piece of Supreme and Gucci gear he could purchase from EBay.
