To disappear from social functions, and media without notifying others. Going ghost is typically considered to be an odd way act.

To "disappear" by not calling, texting, or talking to a certain person. "Going ghost" is a move typically used by friends w/ benefits or booty calls when they no longer want to associate with the other person, but it can also describe a friend you haven't heard from in a long time.

To "go ghost" can also be described as "fading out."
Girl 1: "Have you seen Jordan lately?"
Girl 2: "Nah, he went ghost on me all of a sudden!"

Boy 1: "Jamal, where you been? I see you tryna go ghost on me son!"

To go ghost means to disappear, either to turn into a ghost or disappear from somebody’s sight, or even his life. It has many other meanings that have to do with sensual activity or suicide.

Go Ghost Yourself 

Another phrase that means "kill yourself". Made popular after Randy Stair aka Andrew Blaze killed 3 people and himself in a supermarket. Besides being a brony, he was also a very avid fan of Ember McLain from the show "Danny Phantom".

Go Tera Ghost

A humorous euphemism for death. Term originates from the dual 2022 video games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, wherein trainers can Terastalize their Pokémon and change their current type to any of the remaining 17, one of which of course being the Ghost type.
Dude, your dog's on his last legs. Unless you can cook up a magic sandwich or something like that, he's probably gonna go Tera Ghost any day now.

city chicken 

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.
