1) A girl who is interested in things considered geeky or nerdy by mainstream society.

2) Usually refers to girls who are interested in computers, and technology in general, can also be used for girls who do things not considered "cool" by everyone else.

3) A compliment to girls who are proud to be geeks.

Person 1: What's up with that chick sitting on the floor with the computer?
Person 2: Oh, that's our resident geek girl.

Person 1: Well, we've got jocks, preps, nerds, burnouts, and a few geek girls hanging out in the library.

Geek Girl 

A Geek Girl is not necasserily unpopular; quite often they will enjoy the same activities as 'normal' people do (ie. going out drinking, chilling, partying) but they also enjoy other things, that these 'normals' may not.

Geek girls enjoy logo t-shirts, video games, anime (some of them), fanfiction, reading, fangirling, writing and pop culture references.

They quite often have a good sense of humour and are interesting, intellectual (when they want to be) people.
Often Geek Girls can fit into a group of 'normal' girls easily. Sometimes it may come as a suprise that they are geeks. But the term for geek has broadened and often, Geeks are simply regarded as the cool people who simply live life the way they want.

There are hardcore geek girls, but these may often blur into the socially awkward nerds.

Geek girl 

Marvelite, Sherlockian, Whovian, Merlinian, Ringer. One who enjoys sci-fi action and adventure movies (not chick flicks), people who will possess and wear fandom t-shirts to show off what they like. They prefer to stay at home and play video games and watch netflix while eating a jar of Nutella. They stay completely away from things such as Twilight, Justin Beiber, and other stupid things. Some have a tendency to be anti-social until a topic of interest (Such as Marvel) is brought up and will then explode out of pure excitement for that fandom. They also LOVE books. Some people seem to put geeks in the same category as 'Hipsters', they are nothing alike. And yes they will DEFINITLY Cosplay

Person: "Omg you neeeeeeeed to see Twilight with me!!"
Geek Girl: "Ummmm ya no"
Person: "WHY??!!!"
Geek girl: "Sorry i'm busy"

Someone obsessed with female-fronted rock bands, usually male.

Often abbreviated to "GBG," a girl-band geek is someone who prefers bands led by women over bands led by men, often to the point of critically accepting or rejecting bands solely based on the gender of their members, rather than on their talents or productions.

Terry's such a GBG that the only time he listened to Black Flag is when Kira Rosselaer played with them...
