Marketing wanted Sales to finally use the new CRM tags nobody had touched in months. Filing a request would've died in a backlog until the heat death of the universe. So instead they pitched it back to Sales as Sales' own win: "You know what would make your pipeline reporting look incredible to leadership? If we tagged deals by segment, then your numbers tell the story for you."
