It is an arabic/persian male name the literal meaning of it is: "punishment". BUT they name "Egab" after the name of the bird "eagle" in arabic it called Egab. it's actually an interesting name for a boy it's so powerful and i think all Egabs are so nice, smart, kind and handsome like they're always there if you need them. IF YOU KNOW A EGAB KEEP HIM I think all Egabs deserve the world.

As was mentioned previously, "egab" comes from an entry in the Windows XP registry where one would find the phrase, "what is an egab." It is actually a musical reference. It refers to the chords E G A and B in a progression. It is pronounced by letter and not phonetically.

No one really knows what an egab is. It was coined in the question "what is an egab" posed by the brains at microsoft in the registry of windows XP. Other comments made in the regestry nearby are "Geeks Kick ASCII" and "Nerds Are Cool"
