A Hispanic ethnic group. They look similar to Puerto ricans except they come in all shades. They're probably the nicest ethnic group of the Hispanic race. They're a very hyper people and like people of the Latino race, they're known to be hot-blooded and knife-wielding. Dominicans, like people of their own race and black race, some have a gangsta/ghetto mentality. They're favorite sport is baseball.

The guy looks Black, but he speaks a wierd Spanish. Yes, he is Black, but he is Dominican. The Dominican guy always rolls his eyes at me. I think he is jealous of my straight hair, light eyes and intellect. Those Dominicans have a rich history. Too bad most of them don't know it.

A Dominican is a person from the Dominican Republic, a small banana republic in the Caribbean. Many live in the New York City and are known for mostly for dealing drugs, destroying property, fighting, yelling when they speak, wearing tight clothes over obese bodies, playing music so loud it makes your filling rattle and throwing their trash out windows. They are almost permanently mired in the lower economic rungs due to their propensity to party 95% of the time and their disinterest in education. Many drive liveries. The remainder do nothing, but make noise and sell drugs.
Hey some Dominicans are barbecuing on the street, throwing their trash everywhere, and playing music so loud it makes your fillings rattle.

*Contrary to popular belief, Dominicans do not want to be Puerto Rican infact there is some type of hatred between the two races
*If you are a light skinned Dominican be ready to be confused by another race
*Most of the ones from NY come from villages or towns and think they are the best and give bad names to other Dominicans that come from their towns and are successful
*They like platanos, salami, rice, beans, spaghetti, mushrooms, butter toast, chicken (alot), guayava, chinola, and that durian looking fruit that does not stink and tastes sweet, and pomegranates too
*We talk really fast (I'm Dominican in case you didn't get that)
*Women own estiticas aka hair salons
*Coño is a commonly used word in the Dominican vocabulary
*Like with any other race you have the cool people and the assholes who think they are gangster and what not

Ok, some of these definitions come off as being very moronic. Let me first address that I am proud of my culture, but these definitions just scream stereotypical and inaccurate and made me die a little inside.
A Dominican is someone who is a native of the Dominican Republic. They DO NOT hate Puerto Ricans. This is garbage started by teens my age. Not all Dominicans are Campesinos. However, those who come to the United States are mainly from poorer areas. This doesnt only apply to us, EVERY nation in the world has low class citizens. Those from lower classes are usually deprived of education. Dominicans and Hatians are NOT the same thing. They both speak different languages. Second of all, their cultures are different. Blacks and Dominicans are not the same thing either. Yes, many have African ancestry, It doesn’t mean they should consider themselves strictly 'black' with the ancestry they have little intact with. Not all are illegal. Some may be, but not ALL. Not all work at bodegas, Barber shops or become Pro Baseball Players. Why not open a history book and see those who mastered in Medicine or those who attended Medical schools in DR where many go to study an exceptional field in Medicine? The list goes on. Not all have a Ghetto Mentality. Yes unfortunately, there are a number of young kids who end up with wrong groups of people and do wrong mainly to themselves. There are also those who have their mindset geared towards a successful life, too.
