Tropic of Cancer Denialism

Tropic of Cancer Denialism (noun) / ˈtrɒpɪk ʌv ˈkænsər dɪˈnaɪəlˌɪzəm /

1. The geographical and psychological delusion that the mathematical boundary of the tropics (23.5°N) is a flexible, moving barrier that can be physically pulled northward into Central and South Florida through sheer willpower, aesthetic desire, and selective data collection. It is the refusal to accept that living at 26°N or 27°N latitude means a garden is firmly in the subtropics and remains entirely vulnerable to continental polar air masses.
2. The theological belief that a county line or a highway (such as I-75, Alligator Alley, or the Broward/Palm Beach border) acts as an invisible, atmospheric forcefield capable of stopping a 1,000-mile-wide Canadian cold front dead in its tracks.
“He was deep in a state of Tropic of Cancer Denialism. As he dragged his fourth dead breadfruit tree to the curb in West Palm Beach, he muttered to his neighbor that the frost was just a 'statistical glitch' and that his zip code was geographically part of the Caribbean.”

A slang term for GLP-1 medications(like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.), usually referring to their appetite-killing, weight-loss, or “I forgot to eat” effects rather than the medical details.

Usage:
* Often casual, ironic, or meme-y
* Can imply effortless weight loss, suppressed hunger, or being “powered by pharmaceuticals”

Notes:
Not a brand name—just shorthand for the whole GLP-1 wave. Frequently shows up in online jokes, gym talk, and group chats where people pretend they’re *totally* doing it naturally.
