When a person does or says something that pisses you off, instead of letting their irrelevant ass get to you, their name becomes "Felicia". You can then say the words "Bye Felicia" as a way of dismissing them from your life, and showing them they hold no relevance to you.

The hip way to tell someone to get lost. Comes from the movie Friday. Great movie. The main character Ice Cube says it whenever Felicia--a minor character whom he dislikes-- is finally getting the fuck out.

The thing is, only people who were maybe two years old when Friday came out use the term today and, perhaps not coincidentally, they are Hufflepuffs. They also use terms like Gucci and speak in hushed tones about Beyoncé's enlarged, pregnant uterus.

The phrase has been used to stereotype and marginalize Black women, reducing them to an object of dismissal or ridicule. It perpetuates harmful stereotypes that devalue and disrespect Black women, and contributes to a larger pattern of racism and sexism.

Example 1:
Person A: "I can't believe she's wearing that outfit. She looks so tacky."
Person B: "Ugh, typical Felicia. Always trying too hard. Bye Felicia!"

Example 2:
Person A: "I think it's important to acknowledge and address the systemic racism and discrimination that exists in our society."
