Boom Cup

Share definition Flag
A drinking game for a larger group of players than typically used for beer pong. Usually works best with 10-15 players.
SETUP: Place about 30 cups in a cluster in the center of a large table (about ping pong size). Fill each one about 1/4-1/3 of the way with beer. The cup in the very center will be the last to be drunk, and it should be filled to the top with beer or a random combination of drinks. This is known as the "bitch cup". Two more empty cups and two ping pong balls will be needed.
GAMEPLAY: Two players far apart from one another each have one of the empty cups and ping pong balls, and they attempt to bounce the ball into the cup. If they succeed first try, they can choose who to pass the cup/ball to next (typically the person to the right of the other person currently trying to bounce a ball into their cup). If the first attempt is not successful, the player continues trying until he is successful, then he must pass it to the player on his left.
If two adjacent players have cups/ping pong balls at the same time and the player on the right makes the shot first, he can then stack his cup on top of that of the player to his left. This player must pass the stack of cups to the player on his left, then pull one of the cups from the middle and drink it. This is his new bounce cup. Play then resumes once again. Eventually only the "bitch cup" will be left. The person to get "stacked" by the player on their right when only this cup remains must drink this entire cup!
Guy 1: "We tried to play beer pong when we were preganing but there were just too many people and games took too long."
Guy 2:"You should try this new game I know, called Boom Cup! It's fun and fast-paced and lots of people can play!"

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.
