BOSSES WEATHER 

A superstitious term used by Australian tradesmen to describe supposedly rainy weather predicted by forecast that is highly inaccurate. Favoured by trade bosses.

Tyler: Wasn't it 100% chance of rain at 10am? Not even a cloud in the sky! Now the forecast pushed the rain back to 3pm! I was keen to not do any bricklaying today...

Bosses' weather

Typically used by workers in unionised construction industry to refer to fine weather during working hours, as on rain days or days of high heat results is safety stoppages whilst workers continue to be paid.

It can also be used in reverse when rain or high heat is forecast on weekends, public holidays, RDOs or before/after working hours but the weather is fine during work hours.

It's not going to hit 35° until after finishing time, bosses' weather, we have to work the full day.
