All Argue No Accord

Someone whose only purpose in conversation is to argue/criticize about the nuances, technicalities and factualities of a statement rather than simply acknowledging the other person's general point and moving on. The said someone will likely come off as aloof, annoying, condescending and overly skeptical. Such sort of people are often SJWs or pedants and found predominantly on Reddit, Twitter, YouTube comments or some other online community.

Of course don't get me wrong, being the devil's advocate is vital for critical thinking and impartiality, but there are plenty of occasions when somebody's point or remark is better left off standing on its own. Sometimes a chill atmosphere has already been established and it seems rather unfitting to ruin it with an overly sober rebuttal. Sometimes you just wanna shoot the breeze without seriously getting into something, y'know?
EXAMPLE 1: This is the last time I'm posting in that community. I just wanted to share my heartfelt thoughts but the people there were all argue no accord.

EXAMPLE 2:

Me, shooting the breeze: Honestly, I think dreams reflect all of our unconscious desires that we normally wouldn't realize when we're awake, I'd recommend reading a bit on psychoanalysis, it's some interesting shit
Overly sober Individual: The subconscious isn't scientifically proven, FYI. We can only make deductions through empirical evidence such as neurological patterns within the brain.
Me: Ok dude.

flophouse

Any house/apartment/frat house/trailer/etc. which is used for individuals to crash (sleep, chill, hang out, lurk, etc.) for a period of time. In order to "crash", one must not actually live there (e.g. have their name on the lease, own said flophouse, etc.). Flophouses are typically used by college students, drug addicts, transients, vagrants, or other unsavory characters.

A flophouse may also be the home owned by the parents of a college student, who after being away at college, wishes to live as if he/she is still at college (e.g. staying out all night, returning just to crash at mom and dad's house, then leaving again), rather than conforming to the pre-college rules.
Example #1
Dude: (Talking to someone passed out face first on the floor of his college apartment) Hey man, who the hell are you? What do you think this is, a flophouse??

Bro: Sorry dude, I must have passed out for a minute.

Example #2
Mom: Where have you BEEN for the last three days? You come home just to sleep?? What do you think this is, a flophouse??!!

Son: What's your problem? I'm an adult now!

Hate Sink

A person you hate intensely not because they deserve such hatred but because they serve as a focus for your general hatred. A healthy way to dispense with excess animosity.
Jake's not really that big an asshole. He just serves as my hate sink.

funiosity

The art of being peculiar, but in an amusing fashion.
"Wow, look at that dog running on three legs"
- "Yeah, that sure is a funiosity"

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.

The hypothetical man (often a sinister character who decided not to go to boot camp) that is doing your girlfriend/wife while you are on deployment overseas.
Ain't no use in goin home,
Jody's got your girl and gone.
Ain't no use in goin back,
Jody's got your Cadillac,
Ain't no use in feeling blue,
Jody's took your checkbook too.
