-the series is set after Japan's conquest by the Holy Britannian Empire on August 10, 2010, a.t.b. with their powerful new robot weapons, the Knightmare Frames, stripping Japan and its citizens of all rights and freedoms and renaming the country Area 11. The titular Lelouch is an exiled Britannian prince, who has vowed to destroy his father, the Emperor, and Britannia. He gains the ability through the mysterious power of the Geass, becoming the leader of the resistance movement to fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister Nunnally can live happily.
-all in all,I could not help but compare this show to Death Note and any Huge Mecha Show.there are many "rivalries" where two people square off against each other, either physically or mentally.Just as Light and L were great rivals, so do Lelouch and Suzaku fight a lot, but ultimately get more accomplished working together. there are many chess references throughout the show and some product placement. In the 80s, Konami of America and Japan released many games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Traditionally, programmers would program in hidden 'cheat codes' to help make gameplay easier, which aided especially during late testing periods before commercial launch.
Konami released many popular games on the NES during this era, such as Gradius, Life Force, and Contra. These titles, as well as many subsequent ones, used the same cheat code listed above. Because of it's reoccurence, it became known as 'The Konami Code', and knowing it by heart is one of the trademark signs of a true, old-school gamer.
A common alteration on this code is:
Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right, B, A, SELECT, Start.
Many people mentally add in a 'select' in there for one reason only--on the menu screen, pressing select changed the cursor to '2 players' instead of '1 player'. Contra was always more fun to play with a friend.

Get the Codylicious mug.A kicker who was quite bad. He is usually seen missing field goals to the #6 seed in the NFC in the playoffs. He was beheaded on January 6, 2019 after he missed a field goal. It was not him however. The Bears needed a better kicker so Blair Walsh pretended to be Cody Parkey. Parkey then booked the first flight out of Chicago.
Cody Parkey will choke on Sunday,January 9, 2022 for the Green Bay Packers. Calling right after he missed the game winner for the Bears.
