Genshin Impact

A free-to-play-to-pay-win anime-inspired open-world, RPG gacha game created by miHoYo, released September 28, 2020. Touted for being one of the most advanced gacha games on the market to date. The game is heavily focused on exploring and grinding items, gear and materials to level up characters. These characters can be obtained through the system known as "wishing" where most desired/popular characters are locked behind a very low success rate of less than 1%. While the game may seem very ambitious it does very little creatively. It takes core mechanics from games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and leans very heavily on anime tropes. Character voice-acting tends to be over the top, high-pitched and can be quite grating. The plot is very average and only serves as a starting line for your adventures. Much like most gacha/anime, there is a heavy focus on (bad) fanservice. Many of the female characters are dressed in very revealing outfits, body physics are over-the-top with an over-sexualization of young "loli" characters. Often times, the characters will be referred to as "waifu" (female) or "husbando" (male). People who enjoy these heavy anime stylized influences often times are referred to being a "otaku" (essentially "nerd") or weeaboo. Both terms are mostly used as derogatory where weeaboo is more closely associated with somebody of Western (United States) world who is heavily involved in anime/Japanese culture, often times with a over-the-top obsession.

Grease

70's movie in which a bunch of 30 year olds infiltrate a high school, and no-one is suspicious of this. The moral message of the film is that you should completely change your image and personality to hook up with hot guys.

Grease is a ridiculous movie, but always entertaining no matter how many times you watch it.
