Get the Damn daniel mug.A viral Twitter "joke" video in which an adolescent boy, referred to as Daniel, is either complimented/mocked on his choice of shoes (white Vans), depending on the viewer's interpretation. The videographer, who comments on Daniel's shoes, does so in a "funny" (see: unfunny, obnoxious) voice, somewhat reminiscent of a prepubescent Gilbert Gottfried. The video's humor panders to the lowest common denominator of humor; there is objectively no substance to the joke. Its meteoric popularity indicates that a large amount of people enjoy the joke, when there's clearly nothing to be amused by in the video. Simply put, it's an inside joke which has been blown out of proportion.
DAMN DANIEL! I'M A SELF-LOATHING, INSECURE, CONFORMIST CHILD WHO'S FRIGHTENED BY THE CONCEPT OF REAL THOUGHT-PROVOKING , GENUINELY AMUSING, OR OTHERWISE INTERESTING CONVERSATION! BACK AT IT WITH THE WHITE SWAT VANS IN YOUR FRONT LAWN!
