Goth

1.)Goths are people that normall yearn to be different, but by all being different, they become their own "culture" which keeps them from being different. People that are not "goth" tend to think that goths are creepy, weird, evil, satanic, or just plain dumb or strange. Well...no, theyre not. i may not be a goth, but they are just people. that happen to be dressed differently than other people. 2.)The word comes from a tribe that invaded a part of the Roman Empire, but just as the Romans, fell when the Huns attacked/invaded.

The term used by a chav (Tracksuit wearing trouble makers) to try and insult a goth for dressing all in black. They think that because a goth dresses in black that they do not seem to bathe. Unreasonable and an uncalled for term.

goth

A follower/fan of music that was different/older/barbaric compared to others. There is really no specific type, as pop can also be included. There is also not necessarily much else in common, as with any other group. A "goth" can be anyone, assuming they enjoy the music described.

Misuse has also applied the term to metalheads, industrial fans, and the "suicidal" yuppie children. The bands currently labeled incorrectly as gothic include Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, and most nu-metal, or industrial-metal hybrids.

Joy Division were gothic compared to the rest of the music scene.

there is no defintion for this because, every person is different, 1 "goth" might be depressed, another "goth" might be happy, happy goth they are all different. Goths arent bad people. so all u people who think they are stupid-ass morbid highschool dropouts they arent.
