"The cold nut" is symbolic for when a person shows someone complete disrespect and rejection. popularly used in a variety of daily situations such as, i.e. When someone cuts you off on the highway...When your manager doesn't pay you for extra hours...when your friend doesn't answer the phone and hits the "ignore button"...When traffic police hits you with $36 "Meter Expired" ticket after brunch...etc. All situations result in receiving the entitled "COLD NUT" The origins of this are found in Harrisburg, PA.

Example, "He: Oh Man! I just got my car towed! It's going to cost me $150. She responds, "That sucks...the parking Authority just gave you that COLD NUT."
