The desire to own more than one fish tank. Can be caused by: wanting different species of fish that are incompatible, wanting to decorate another tank, becoming obsessed with fish, wanting a fish that doesn't fit current tank, etc.

He wanted a betta, but to do so, he needed another tank. So he developed multiple tank syndrome.
