When a political ideology that should still be on the fringe of civilized society for its extreme views drifts into the mainstream because people in certain positions of power lack their own ideas, those fringe ideas move into the mainstream of one political party, creating a fringestream.

Asking the newly-elected president to provide multiple copies of his birth certificate, college transcripts, a rundown of everyone he's ever met, a blood sample, a polygraph, and a note from his mother would be dismissed without prejudice if the president in question were white. However, since President Obama is our country's first black president, Birtherism has become fringestream.

Farting Barrier

The barrier that usually exists against farting in the company of each other at the outset of a new relationship. The individuals involved are usually very hesitant if not incredibly embarrassed to cross this barrier, at least not too early.

I can see you just crossed the farting barrier and you will regret that later tonight. Let me guess, a bean and cheese burrito for lunch? Excuse me while I go hang out with the dog in the other room for a while.

Facing

The act of arranging and re-arranging items in a grocery store, usually on a shelf. Not actually making them neater per se, but turning the objects toward you so that they "face" you. Usually done by a grocery clerk of some kind.

"Hey John, you gonna face* aisle 11?"
"Yeah, when I get the time. I gotta check this lady out first."
