Like the last definition read, a large town in Albany and Schenectady County in New York. There is a rivalry between the North and the South, but unlike the Civil War, we (The South) are, always were, and always will be the superior area. Go Raiders!

COLORADO SPRINGS

Founded in the late 1800's by General William Jackson Palmer, it is Colorado's second-largest city. It is cradled between the Rockies to the west and the Monument Divide to the North. It is 6,000 feet above sea level, with a population of about 375,000. The weather can be erratic, going from sun to rain, ro sun again, in a matter of minutes. Some of its attractions, in and around the area, are Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, North Pole, and the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Some of Colorado Springs' surrounding cities and towns include, Fountain, Security, Ft. Carson, Black Forest, and Canon City(pronounced canyon).
Also referred to as C-Town, The Springs, and other names.

"Man, this weather is crazy. We must be in the Springs by now."
"The Springs?"
"Yeah. Colorado SPRINGS."

horse of a different color

Any specific type of thing that is different in a noticeable way, similar to a horse dyed with Jello powder so that is a different color. A new way of doing something.

In 1992 the Sony Minidisc was a horse of a different color when it came to sound recordings.

Well, that's the horse of a different color! <--In the Wizard of Oz when they refer to the purple and blue horses.

colonize

Thing your country has to do to become big and to not be called country anymore, but empire instead. This way United Kingdom and France became big and powerful, though later got colonized by the United States themselves, which in turn was once colonized by UK (see New York , Virginia etc.) and France (see Lousiana). Oh the irony!

If you don't colonize, you'll be poland, FOREVER.

University of Colorado

Located in the city of Boulder, Colorado. Not to be confused with CU Denver or Colorado Springs. 25,000 undergraduates. 5,000 graduates. Considered a Public Ivy League; 11th Best Public University in the Nation. Average GPA for freshmen in 2009 was 3.677: Average ACT ranged from 27 to 29 (and higher), excluding the Leeds School of Business and the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, which tend to be higher. Students termed "Yuppie Hippies", or quoted as "peace sign on my dad's BMW". Ranked as one the most Beautiful campuses in world; also one of the most expensive to attend..; Universal Tuscan-"Italian-ate" styled buildings. Smart students, who still enjoy a party. The Hill. Pearl Street. 29th Street. "Cali Kids". Parties! Division 1 Sports suck. Classes can be tedious. Directions based on the Flatirons. Skiing and snowboarding.

Where do you attend college? I attend the University of Colorado at Boulder.
