Refers to how Harry Potter in the HP book series always gets stuff for no apparent reason and no one understands why.
To achieve something amazing against all odds, and usually undeserved. For instance, if the kid at the bottom of your class wound up valedictorian, he has just pulled a potter.

"That cokehead who just got out of school is running for governor? And winning?!"
"Yeah, that kid totally pulled a Potter."

The best freaking book and movie series ever. It tells the story of Harry Potter "the boy who lived" and his life at Hogwarts School for Witch Craft and Wizardry. He is also the main threat to the villain Voldemort. As of October 2009 there are 7 books ad 6 movies. The book was written by JK Rowling and the movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry, Ron and Hermionie. The series is only criticized and hated by illiterate morons with nothing better to do.

A Paternover is a college football term originating from the Penn State Nittany Lions. The teams propensity to turn the ball over to the opposing team during crucial games is unherald. Named for Joe Paterno the teams coach for 40+ years.

Tub: "Did you see the 2009 Rose Bowl Game?"
Vent: "Yeah PSU made some serious Paternovers at crucial moments."
Tub: "Give Joe a break, he is 80+ and couldn't turn over an omlette with his bum hip."
Vent: "Yeah, but his teams Paternover ratio is way too high. We Are Penn State!"

An affliction suffered by both men and women, however most often by men. It is marked by an enthusiastic penchant for assigning certain bad habits as something women do, and inexplicably not noticing it when men do the same thing in the same frequency.
