yes thats fine

"Yes thats fine" is usually used after a statement has been made by another person that is demeaning, demanding, pointless or even needlessly correct. "Yes thats fine" derived from Tom Goes To Mayor, although slightly bastardized (as the Mayor said only "Yes, fine.") but still serves the same purpose: to shut down the person speaking.

For instance: if someone is discussing something with you they take very seriously, and you respond with "yes, thats fine" it often will show the speaker that you don't really give a shit. Other times it confuses them and gives you several seconds of recourse before they resume.

Sam: "Hey, you ate my cake, you whore!"
Lissa: "yes thats fine"
Sam: "..."
Lissa: "go lay down"

Something someone (usually down or depressed) says when they don't feel like talking about it, or don't want to be in a vulnerable or in their eyes burdening situation.

I'm fine is a lie. People may say their fine. But deep down they're not. I know this for a fact because I say I am fine all the time, when I really am not. So when someone says their fine, talk to them about it. They aren't fine in any way.

Person: Hey you seem pretty down, are you okay?

This is a term used by many ladies to hide how they’re feeling. This is either because they’re trying to hide the fact that they’re depressed, being abused, in a toxic relationship, or is planning on breaking up with you. (My ex told me she was “fine.” One week after she blocked me she unblocked me and we got back to our normal stuff. Sending music suggestions and comedians to each other. One day it all stopped. Now I’m suspicious because I think it might be her boyfriend🤔

Me: “you seem mad at me”
Her: “I’m fine”
Me: “are you sure?”
Her: “yeah, I don’t wanna talk about it”
