A characterization of a fighter's displayed skill or aptitude in hand-to-hand or general combat, shown famously poor in United States police. Also used to denote a lack of one's fortitude or resilience to stress/stressful situations, or abject cowardice.

Yeah, they were swingin at each other. But like a couple of cops-so no one got hurt.
Watch as the contender begins a takedown but is too much of a cop and hesitated, missing their chance.
A poor performance on display from the champion tonight; the swings are wild, their technique is sloppy, mostly cop-ish.
