To Kill a Mocking Bird

Simply put, one of the greatest books ever written, featuring one of the most inspirational characters ever to be thought up by a human brain: Atticus Finch.

Many people have took up the law career because of this book.

Disagreeing with fuzzums and explaining the name of the book.

Harper Lee chose the name "To Kill a Mockingbird" for several reasons, as hinted in the story, Atticus telling Jem he can shoot all the blue jays he wants but never to kill a mocking bird "because they sing their hearts out for us"

Likewise, the death of Tom Robinson much resembled killing a mockingbird, he did nothing wrong, and only helped people.

To Kill a Mocking Bird is one of the greatest stories ever written.

I wish Atticus Finch was my dad.

Free Bird

A song by Lynyrd Skynyrd that is approximately ten minutes long. It is sometimes used as a ten minute timer. The first half of the song is a slow vocal ballad while the second half is a very fast instrumental rock music with a long guitar solo.

Student: "It's 7:50 AM and I have ten minutes to get to class, I'm going to turn on Free Bird to make sure I'm not late!"

Lynyrd Skynyrd: (ballad guitar riff) (sings) "If I leave here tomorrow..."

(5 minutes later)

Lynyrd Skynyrd: (song suddenly gets faster) "...Lord I can't change, won't you fly high free bird"

Student: "Shit! Five minutes till class and I am not halfway there!"

Lynyrd Skynyrd: (five minute guitar solo) (song fades away)

Student: (runs into the classroom)

Professor: "you JUST made it!"

bird feeder

A method of consumption of beer. The "feeder" attaches a fish hook to a ceiling and attaches some floss. The other end of the floss is strung onto a tab of an unopened beer can. The "feeder" then winds up the beer repeatedly and opens the tab while still holding the beer. The "feeder" then has the "bird" hold the beer. The "bird" then punctures the beer in a shotgunning motion, creating a circular stream of beer onto the "bird". IMPORTANT: The "bird" must flap his/her wings and follow the spinning circle of beer.

Zach: Colin and Bob lost in pong. They have to do a bird feeder.
