Friend Farming

When an individual adds a large number of people as friends on Facebook in an attempt to appear more popular than they really are. This is despite the fact that they have never actually met any of the invited 'friends'.

Person 1: WTF? I just got a friend request on Facebook from some random I've never even met! Says she's someone's sister or something.
Person 2: Yeah, I know, I got one from her too, as did everyone from our school. Don't stress, she's not a stalker. It looks like she's just friend farming.

Person 1 clicks "Ignore" with a shudder

Friend Crutch

Someone you use in order to stop boredom because all of your other cool friends are at work, with family, etc.

A Friend Crutch is a person who is usually obnoxious or a tool on certain occasions, but won't make you flip out every minute.

Guy 1: You hanged out with Ryan yesterday?! Dude he is such a tool....

Guy 2: Don't worry he is only a friend crutch, everyone else was busy.

Bag friend

The friend in the group that always carries a bag with them, usually a tote or a large purse. Helpful for when you don't want to hold your wallet or phone. They usually have mints and shit in there too.

Amy: I want to bring a water bottle but I don't wanna hold it the entire time we're out
Katie: Jessica always brings that big ass bag, she'll probably hold it for you.
Amy: Gotta love having a bag friend

Friend-Crush

The phenomenon of becoming fascinated with a casual acquaintance or friend of a mutual friend to the point where your perception of their awesomeness inexplicably inspires you to initiate a new friendship. Upon meeting said new-person the afflicted are riddled with feelings similar to those of a real crush; such as wanting to spend time with them, laughing at their jokes more than others, admiration, girly giddiness, etc., Friend crushes are notorious for striking quickly and inciting gossip. Friend Crushes are more commonly observed in females but are also rampant in the male world, albeit manifesting themselves in slightly different ways, see male specific definition under Man Crush

Friend Nomad

One who roams between many groups of people, partially as a result of shunning, partially from personal drive to move up the social hierarchy. Groups tolerate a friend nomad on the basis that they know he will only hang out with them once in a while.

Dude that Raffi kid is such a friend nomad. Two weeks ago he hung out with those freshmen, last week it was the football group, now he wants to hang out with us.... WTF.

A person who you were once friends with, but are no longer friends with, usually due to some kind of an argument.

Jana: "I was friends with Kathryn, until she stole my boyfriend."
Amanda: "Damn, Kathryn isn't a good friend then."
Jana: "She's not my friend anymore, she's my ex-friend."

Friends with benefits

Two friends that are sexually attracted to each other and could be great in a relationship but are not together for other reasons. How ever both do flirt and do boyfriend/girlfriend activities but both aren't officially a couple. Usually both have an unconditional care for each other and have feelings for one another but do not take it to another level because of other reasons.

Alexis and Matt have been friends for about 6 years now. They go on dates sometimes and clearly like each other. They are friends with benefits.
