tantallon

A section of the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Populated by subdivisons with a strip mall in the center. Inhabited by many coke heads and trashy people. Police station is located there for absolutly no reason, considering crime in the area. People often compare it to Timberlea(aka scumtown), another middle class part of Halifax, but people in Tantallon who carry knives will actually stab you, where as Timberlea is populated by pussies.

Man, I got robbed by the gas station in Tantallon yesterday by some crazy basehead motherfucker, this never woulda happened in Timberlea.

tactastic

An object that is incredibly tacky, kitch etc but at the same time because it is so tacky that it is cool or funky.

Defined when on a trip to a homeware shop in Essen, some of the stuff was tacky, but we looked at the display with plates and cute little toy tigers and coined the phrase tactastic. The term just fitted the dancing flower she bought me.

Someone who knows the real meaning of fun. Drinks nightly in the dorms and gets away with it. After graduating the students will go on to the best colleges the nation has to offer. The men will eventually be the heads of companies and the women will find the right (rich) guy. No matter what, success is guaranteed, but there are different ways of reachin it. Unlike Hotchkiss girls though, Taft ones do not do coke. Taft Men always win in hockey and lacrosse, the sports that matter in this part of the country.
