In the Army it’s the 11 series Infantry , some 12 series, Combat Engineers, 13 series Field Artillery and 19 series Armored Armored Crewmen. Some 18 series Special Forces Operator, but they are too highly trained to be a grunt. In combat engineers if you carry detonation cord and a chainsaw or do road clearance you’re a grunt, if you drove a bulldozer or build schools you’re not a grunt. Young infantry noobs try to claim grunt for their own but old timers know it’s almost all combat arms. Army Aviators are combat Arms also, but while the job can be incredibly dangerous the frequency of hot showers and contracted chow available at airfields means no grunt for you. 19k Cavalry scout used to be Grunts when the army had Armored Cavalry Regiments , but since those were transformed into Cavalry in name only infantry regiments the cav scouts grunt status is up for review.
Tell those nasty grunts to take a shower before they come to the dining facility, sorry we closed 15 seconds ago you dirty grunts should learn to be cleaner. Stop hitting me with your big grunt fists.

"Oh man, so many grunts everywhere, I had to use all my grenades and they STILL weren't all dead"

Referring to US Marine Corps Infantry personnel. GRUNTS are anyone with the MOS beginning with 03 as in 0311 (Riflemen). The term originating during World War II to abbreviate the term "Ground Reinforcements Untrained," referring to tons of troops being sent to combat with little training. The term has taken on a more affectionate meaning for our killers in the Marine Corps Infantry today.
The term GRUNT also refers to those doing their time commitments and getting out during the Vietnam War; as opposed to Lifers who were career Marines.
The term POG is the opposite meaning "Personnel Other than Grunt"

A grunt is a noun first coined in by Yourragegaming who streams on the platform known as twitch to describe someone who is currently watching the stream but is not currently subscribed to the streamer, the grunts are usually presented as the lowest members of twitches social hierarchy because they have the least amount of power and capability. Which is of course because of the fact that the people who are subbed have to pay 5 bucks and therefore valued higher by the streamer because they are the ones getting a percent of the money. In other words the term grunt is used by streamers like YourRage to devalue the people that don’t get him money in order to scam people in to subscribing so YourRage can pretend like they mean more than they actually do in order to scam them out of 5 bucks. Of course this isn’t really surprising, the fact that he turned this word into one of his scam tactics, considering his history .
