Groundgnat

A statement commonly espoused in baseball settings by coaches who resemble grizzly bears. The word is an amalgam of the phrase “get around that” which is commonly used as a semi-threatening phrase to a batter to stretch what would otherwise be a base hit into an extra base hit.
