It is host to Florence High, who have some pretty bitchin' athletics and an amazing theater department, and also the University of North Alabama who have the same. There are plenty of private Christian schools to choose from if public schooling sounds a little rough.
There are a ton of museums and Frank Lloyd Wright has a house here. No one cares about any of that, though. Most people only go to eat at the amazing, relatively unknown restaurants and go shopping.
Notable sights include Rivertown Coffee, Crocodile Eds, Wal-Mart, Deibert Park, Ricebox, Wok n Roll, the Mall, UNA, Shoals Theater, the Smokehouse, and generally just the whole downtown area.
Also a mecca for those too lazy to shell out gas money to go to Huntsville.
