It was created by a man named Keith Baker (who submitted it as an entry for a worldbuilding contest hosted by Wizards of the Coast), and is known for for introducing the Changeling, Warforged, Kalashtar, Shifter races as well as the Artificer class and dragonmarks. More importantly though, Goblins aren't mindless xp farms and Halflings ride VELOCIRAPTORS!!!!!!

Sasha: "Hey what're we going to do for our next Dungeons & Dragons Campaign?"
Ardy: "We're playing 5e Eberron! The /GREATEST/ Campaign setting ever made by the holy lord Keith Baker!"
