Get the Ditsy mug.DIMS is an extension of the phrase 'Martin Is Dan's Dad'. DIMS stands for 'Dan Is Martin's Son'. It follows many variations of the phrase, including MSID (Martin's Son Is Dan), DDIM (Dan's Dad Is Martin), FODIM (Father Of Dan Is Martin), SOMID (Son Of Martin Is Dan), etc. Likewise it is possible to become obsessed with these words, leading to random shouting of the acronyms (and associated words like 'Hall' or 'Father'), withdrawal symptoms and writing the aforementioned phrases onto anything that comes to hand.
Mum: 'Have you done your homework?'
Obsessed Child: 'No, but DIMS, so... FODIM HALL SON MIDD RADAR!!!!!'

Get the DIMS mug.Dick In Mouth Syndrome; refers to the awkwardness that results when you run into someone whom you've preformed oral sex on, but are not in a relationship with. Can also refer to a one night stand, someone you've had sex with once, but you are not friends with them, or in a relationship with them. Can be used by either men or women.
When we were at the bar, we ran into someone you've given oral sex and my friend asked me, "what was that about?" and I said "DIMS" and she said, "Ohhh"

Get the dimpy mug.To have your social networking profile banned (or smyffed) for no apparent reason other than living life.
Usually occurs when the network administrators take their rules too literally i.e.
1. Having too many friends
2. Being a member of a banned group
3. Sending too many messages
4. Not using your profile much
Can also occur when a third party asks you to shut your profile down, such as your employer when they think you are networking in work time.

DAVE: Well done John for getting smyffed.
JOHN: Thanks Dave, but that wasn't my intention. I was catching up with friends on Facebook during my lunch break, and before you know it, I'm dragged into the office and given a bollocking!
DAVE: Sorry to here that John. What occured?
JOHN: Well they forced me to close my account or lose my job.....I had to close my account of course 'cos I have a family to feed. I have a lawyer on the case though......we're taking them to court on the grounds of unfair dismyffal.
DAVE: Good luck with that....gotta go.....tell me all about it on Twitter later on!!
