Baldur's Gate is a series of Role-Playing video games and the name of the first release in the series. The first game was released in 1998, and changed the RPG genre forever. Seriously, before that people thought that Diablo was an RPG. Then they realized it was just an addictive hack 'n' slash click-fest. Baldur's Gate provided not only challenging and tactically interesting combat, but also an intriguing storyline that actually places your character in the plot, which is affected by your actions and decisions. Prior to Baldur's Gate, most RPG's introduced your character like the Stranger from High Plains Drifter.
Tales of the Sword Coast was released as the expansion.
Nobody thought it could be better until Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn came out in 2000. Gameplay was even better, story just kept getting better, and the best part was everybody knew an expansion was coming.
Finally The expansion to SoA came out entitled Throne of Bhaal. It is the final installment of the series. Beating the game gives you a combination of incredible accomplishment and also terrible depression from the realization that never again will you experience an RPG like it. Now we must all make do playing it over again and fantasizing about it while playing Dragon Age.

Blizzard has yet to release Diablo 3 ten years after Diablo 2 because they want to be absolutely sure that there won't be another Baldur's Gate installment that will blow them out of the water again.

They can also cause delays and confusion if a passenger in a wheelchair needs to board as the chair has to plow through the mass of gate lice hovering around the gate.
When it's time to board, they have to be shooed from the front boarding area to the back of the line, delaying the flight for everyone.

Get the Gate Lice mug.A public High school in Warwick, Rhode Island. Student population of about 1,200. It’s all the kids who went to Cedar Hill, Drumrock, Greenwood, Scott, Wickes, and Robertson combined. You go to middle school at Winman Junior High School if you live in the Toll Gate District. Most of the teachers here suck at their jobs, with the exception of a handful. Out of the three public schools in Warwick, Toll Gate probably has the nicest campus, which isn't saying much considering minimal renovations have been made since it opened in the early 70's. There is a separate hallway for every grade’s lockers, with seniors getting their own in a separate building from the other three classes. The sports at TG are usually decent, with one or two Division I teams. Best football team in the town besides Hendricken.During the school year, fights happen about once a week, usually between some freshman kids who think their badass over a girl or something else stupid. There is a cop specially assigned to this school because of it, as well as the constant smoking and drug use there. Some of the kids who go here say they hate it, but once you become a senior and realize you’ll have to leave most students start to like it. The kids at Toll Gate know how to party and get away with doing things against the (very few) rules there, so most of the time there is a way to have a good time.

Get the Toll Gate High School mug.Gainax's latest anime. A collosal mindfuck of the greatest proportions, it is deranged, crude, rude, and all in all, great fun.
It involves two angels, named Panty and Stocking. The former is a sex maniac. The latter is a gluttonous sweets lover (who possibly enjoys S&M)
They Fight Crime, or rather vengeful spirits called "Ghosts."
Oh, and the two girls are accompanied by a Hard Gay Priest (unconfirmed) named "Garterbelt" and a Gir expy named "Chuck."
The animation is done with the traditional style of western thick-line drawing.
Needless to say, it looks awesome in motion. However, the sense of humor is ripped from the worst of Western Animation, and it's not for everyone.
Cautionary warning: Watching it may give you a contact high.
