Fresh Off the
Boat
An islander who is unfamiliar with the
culture of the mainland they just set foot on and of the
world in general.
This is an outdated perception as most islanders have a modern lifestyle. It could still be true for some nations, however.

Civilized person: "Why do you call her a fob? New Zealand is like the rest of the
world."
Fob: "Hey, do you guys have any tomato sauce? I
don't like eating plain fries."
Civilized person: "Oh, you're right. Psht, what a fob."
*Civilized person bites off fry dipped in
mayonnaise*

Not a fob: "Woh, New York! Do you meet Iron Man?"
Civilized person: "Definitely not a fob."
