Audiophile

An insufferable person, very similar to cycling enthusiasts who can't shut the fuck up about some part or piece of gear.
Likely to recommend overpriced audio equipment, goes to a party and comments on sound quality.

Frequently preys on normal people (and/or musicians) looking to buy normal, reasonably priced equipment.

If confronted with audiophiles, consider the following steps:
Doff ear protection.
Ensure that the audiophile is not wearing ear protection.
Rattle off some extremely loud firearms, explosives, fireworks, etc.
The audiophile is now (equalized).

Not to be confused with pedophile, although there is likely some overlap.

Aniphile

An aniphile is a term used to describe individuals who have a sexual parasocial relationship with a character from any anime franchise. These obsessions are very unhealthy, and it separates them more from physical socialization.

These sexual obsessions can range from any sort of anime character, no matter the age range. It is truly something nasty and fucked up, people will say.

Someone who spends a minimum of 25% of their annual salary on their hifi system and uses it to listen to Dire Straits and Steely Dan exclusively.
