The act of chilling or just hanging out. Can also be used in asking someone to hang out.

Guy 1 : Hey look at that guy.
Guy 2 : What's he doing?
Guy 1 : Looks like he's just marinating.

Situation 2
Guy 1: Hey what are you doing?
Guy 2: Nothing, Why?
Guy 1 : Wanna marinate?
Guy 2: Damn right I do.
