The process of commenting on someone's status, by ignoring the status and posting a comment that is totally unconnected to the original topic in the hope of starting a different conversation entirely.

A StatusBlank can be anything that changes the discussion of someone's status immediately

Your Status: Just back from Holiday was great!

Friends comment: I've been on holiday too!

This is not a StausBlank, although it moves the conversation away from your holiday it is still in context.
