everyone and their dog

Basically, this is a saying used to describe something that a hell of a lot of people have.

For example, saying "everyone and their dog has a Ford Mustang" would be appropriate.

Or take the following conversation:

emo kid: "check out my ears, I just got them tapered, I'm so original"

person with an identity: "everyone and their dog has gauged ears in 2005"

Friend 1: "Did you see the dbz movie?"
Friend 2: "No."
Friend 1: "Don't."

The most amazing person. She's always there for you and is really smart. You can never find anyone like her. She does break down at times from all the weight she carries, but she stands strong for others. She's really really nice and popular though she won't admit it. Very talented in music especially piano. Too good at persuasion and boys practically kiss the ground she walks on.

a series of unfortunate events

A most unfortunate series following the miserable tales of the three Baudelaire children: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny.
