When a website reaches Digg.com's front page and the server gets pwned by the large amount of incoming webtraffic. Images and videos worsen the Digg Rape effect due to their relatively higher bandwidth requirements versus plain text.

Usually one will notice the Digg Rape effect when trying to browse to a site linked through Digg.

Digg Dong Ditch

Playing ding-dong-ditch, except when the person answers the door and shuts it, they might go outside and look around. When they do, you run inside, find the smallest item to steal, run back outside, dig a hole, and put the item in, without being caught.
