Visaphobia is especially common among travelers from disadvantaged countries (e.g. Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, etc...) whose citizens need a visa in most destinations they want to visit.

Abdul suffers from Visaphobia because he is Syrian and he always has to apply to visas wherever he travels. They are not e-visas which makes the paperwork complicated so he avoids business and leisure travel as much as possible.
