Corping

Short for corporate coping, when a business' standing with their investors really depended on the success of a project that failed, and they are now bleeding money to try and keep as many of them around as possible, by paying news sites to run opinion pieces explaining away the failure of the project.

Copping the wire

Prison slang for stealing another inmate’s items off their fishing line (the string they use to send exchange items between cells).

Sometimes when the line is sent to the gallery, another inmate snatches it for themselves.

I tried sending Bill some coffee on a line, but he never got it because someone has been copping the wire.

Comping

Mix of simping and competing. A thing that guys do to try and 'assert dominance' over a girl, letting other guys know that "she's mine". It is when someone manages to do something or get her to say something that they count as a W for them, and they use it to brag.
