To show one's buttocks to someone in a stylish and elaborate manner as an expression of condescension, in particular in cases in which the receiving person has asserted unnecessary and unwarranted claims of possession over something or someone.
The expression has a connotation of subtlety: It is often understood that the intended recipient is not aware of the move, while people in the know will recognise the gesture easily. The move does not need to include literal showing of the buttocks; an allusion to such a gesture is often understood when speaking about "doing the Markus".
