The phrase a child calls a person that's much better off without him/her, in hopes that it will somehow lower that person's self esteem. It can also be used when an ex is in a full on rage, and doesn't know how to execute a proper insult, so they end up just calling you a snotty trick and thinking they're the shit.

Similar to a hat trick, except old Senators Heatley jerseys are thrown onto the ice instead of hats not in celebration of 3 goals in one game, but to show their displeasure of how he whined and moaned his way out of town.
The San Jose Sharks are coming to Ottawa on a road trip, time to get those old Heatley jerseys out from the back our closets and salute that douchebag with a good old fashioned heat trick.
