Get the stalker mug.noun: a pile of emptied plates that indicates a person had the munchies. This phenomenon is most easily noticed and common at a buffet, where a new plate is acquired each time one returns to the line or buffet. Most users of this term draw the line at 6 or 7 plates, although there may be extenuating circumstances, such as bad food or small/oversize plates.
