when we say "Either you a fart smeller or a smart feller" we say this because when you're a fart smeller, it means you're acting like nonsense, or dumb. When we say smart feller, you're thinking things through.

A common saying among members of a non profit organization that places recent college graduates teaching in under resourced public schools. A call/response for a teacher to use to motivate kids. Works well with elementary aged students. When used with high school students, the teacher is risking their lives.
