Petey Pablos

Petey Pablos is a cocktail primarily consisting of jalapeño, grapefruit, lime, and tequilla. Developed during the American Prohibition Era in Greenville, Kentucky. This cocktail became popular in Muhlenburg County due to the abundance of grapefruits, lime trees, and access to an abundance of silver tequila. The discovery of the naturally occurring veins of 100% blue agave while mining the otherwise useless bituminous coal in northern hills of Muhlenburg County resulted in an ecomonic boom for this region of western Kentucky.
